Our Background
Founded in September 2011 with just four students, Elpicharis Christian Academy was established by Jacqueline Patricia Forbes Mitchell with a vision of providing a safe, faith-centered environment where children could learn, grow, and thrive. Rooted in Christian values, our name, Elpicharis, meaning hope and joy, reflects our commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate learners while building strong partnerships between home, school, and the church. From the beginning, we have placed a strong emphasis on early literacy, helping students develop exceptional reading skills and a lifelong love of learning.
From our humble beginnings in the Sunday School rooms of Hatfield Independent Baptist Church to our growing campus today, Elpicharis Christian Academy has continued to expand while maintaining its mission of academic excellence and character development. Despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, our dedicated staff remained committed to student success. Today, we proudly serve 95 students across our Early Childhood and Primary programmes and continue to invest in new facilities that will support future generations of learners in a safe, inspiring, and Christ-centered environment.
